Our scheduled cruises operate from the Pierhead district in the V&A Waterfront, Cape Town. (Opposite the MAReSOL Restaurant)

On average the cruise duration is as follows:

Bubbly Brunch Cruise: 90 minutes
Lunch Cruise: 90 minutes
Sunset or High Tea Cruise: 90 minutes
Dinner Cruise: 120 minutes

Children under the age of 12 years are are charged at half price but there are no age restrictions. For dinner cuises we suggest that the whole party should be aged over 18 years.

We are able to accommodate groups up to 72 guests seated and 100 for cocktail functions. We ask that you book large groups directly with the reservations office by phoning (+27)65 975 8060.

If you frequently book groups with us, it may be worth setting up an account with us. You can book the boat exclusively for weddings/functions/events. If you have large group bookings please call (+27)65 975 8060 or fill in our contact form.

Subject to availability you do not need to book cruise tickets in advance. These can be purchased on the pier in front of the Alba on the day of travel. We request that groups of 20+ are booked in advance with the reservations department prior to travel. High Tea cruises and other special event products must be booked in advance either online or  through our reservation department phone number (+27)65 975 8060

You will receive a printable booking confirmation email with a e-ticket on request once payment has been made. Additionally please take note of your booking reference number. If you don’t receive the email or have a query about your booking, please call our reservation department on (+27)65 975 8060.

Passengers have to bring their booking reference and need to check in online prior to departure in order to board the cruise. (A check-in e-mail will be sent 24hours before the cruise)

We can resend your e-ticket as soon as payment has reflected. Please phone our reservation department (+27)65 975 8060 or fill in our contact form with your booking reference number, cruise date and your name.

You should arrive at least 15 minutes before departure time. If you are buying tickets at the ticket office, please allow for some additional time to process payment and sign the indemnity forms. Tickets bought online include recommended boarding and departure times.

Unfortunately we cannot predict passenger numbers for each day, which vary on account of public holidays, weather conditions, events, etc.

The Alba is accessible to wheelchair users, aircon, wifi, toilet and bar facilities are also available.

Our boat has aircon and inside seating and is fully heated.

Return and Refunds policy

Cancellations:
• Once the payment has been received, the client will be liable for the full number of passengers booked and will not be refunded for any no show passengers or cancellation or lessening of numbers of passengers.
• In the event that a trip is cancelled due to weather, we will attempt to reschedule for another day. If rescheduling is not possible a voucher will be issued for the full value of the trip, redeemable at The Alba (www.thealba.co.za), MAReSOL (www.mar-e-sol.co.za ) or Quay 4 (www.quay4.co.za).

Refunds:
• Any passenger not showing without being cancelled within the allotted time (72 hours or 7 days) by The Alba staff will be charged in full.
• Cancellation by passenger more than 72 hours prior to departure will receive a 50% refund.
• Corporate bookings must be cancelled 7 days prior to departure to receive a 50% refund.

Please note that last minute additions to the number of passengers will be accommodated whenever possible but may not be possible should we already be fully booked for that cruise.
